I was looking back at some of the older posts and saw one by Jordan that was shaping up to be pretty cool... (but seems to have disappeared) It had a sculpture of a face in a wall with a fountain cascading from it.

Reminded me of Druillet, who I think should be an essential influence on anyone who liked Jodorowsky's Dune project... It's time to throw off the shackles of logic and clunky 80s movies and go gothic surreal Baroque crazy!

Technique used:

Listen to Predator soundtrack.
Forgetting how good this was and how similar it was to Aliens soundtrack by James Horner
Also notice earlier Jerry Goldsmith weird horns influence.
(Then notice other things... How close Jurassic Park Lost World score is to parts of this and elements from Holst's The Planets.)

Oh and use of freehand airbrush on Wacom Cintiq, pressure 14, one colour selected: RGB 117, 143, 150. Then throw in a bit of background and colour/level adjusts.

Help needed

Guys i humbly request your help and opinion on this one. I think i have potentially a good piece here, but sometimes while tightening details i end up losing the vitality of the first initial sketch. So here's my question should i keep; - in a painterly fashion, tightening this whole thing up? should i do a line drawing on top of it? What can be improved in terms of composition and story, if there is one. Thanks!

Ok, so I noticed that when posting an image that was done with photoshop's "adobe 1998" color profile, it looses saturation and brilliance on Blogger. However, it seems that using "sRGB" maintains proper colors.
